Teletology

Speculative design


This marks the inaugural project of my thesis topic, starting with a semi-vintage object - the telephone. I analyzed the cultural, historical, and social background of the telephone, and reimagined it through speculative design.

"Teletology" is a set of practices centered around the essence of the telephone. The "Telebroom" is the first created object, symbolizing the labor of housewives. By venerating the Telebroom, people will develop a deeper appreciation for the role of housewives. Having the Telebroom at home is envisioned to empower individuals with the virtues of housewives.

The Teletology promotional package includes a mini Telebroom, a riso poster, a brochure, and a transformative zine.
